Freddie Mercury collection Freddie Mercury had a strong connection to Montreux, Switzerland. He lived there for several years until his passing in 1991. Montreux was where Mercury and the other members of Queen recorded many of their albums at Mountain Studios, including the iconic album "A Night at the Opera.
